Chevvy is a gorgeous but very shy girl. She likes to pick her ‘safe place’ and nest there throughout the day and come out at night for food and to wander about. If you sit quietly with her though, the giant purr machine starts up and she comes to you for pats, headbutts and smooches. She is very affectionate under specific circumstances but will otherwise be quite happy left to herself. Chevvy needs a quiet household and will require a sheltered little space to make her own. She likes to take things like bags, shoes, toys and even coats to make herself more comfy! She’ll need to be indoor only as she may become too scared to return home if allowed outside. She was surrendered along with her 5 brothers and has no issues with the other foster cats in care with her, preferring to mostly ignore them. Chevvy adores her food and has had some teeth removed, but this is not impacting her ability to enjoy dinner. Chevvy takes time to build up her trust to people and still tends to hide from her carer unless she’s in her safe place. Once she’s won over though, she will reward her owner with plenty of her purrs and smooches. She can’t get enough pats and has even started rolling onto laps to get more.
*PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ TULUSE’S PROFILE IN FULL TO UNDERSTAND HER SPECIAL NEEDS*
Tuluse is a sweet 2 year old tabby looking for loving and quiet forever home. It may take Tuluse some time to warm up to her new surroundings and family, once she trusts you she will be by your side all day! As you can see she is a beautiful girl and loves a good comfy spot to stretch out and relax. She loves laying in the sunshine and playing with her toys. She is very talkative and affectionate when she wants to be. She loves to play fetch with her toys, so somewhere large enough for her to run around and burn some energy would be great. She may be shy and take a while to warm up to you but once she does she is queen of the house and loves to sit in your lap and cuddle. Tuluse will require a quiet home (max. 2 humans) where she is the only animal and with no small children so she can feel at ease, as too much going on can cause her stress/anxiety. Tuluse is currently prescribed Clomicalm to help with her anxiety, however she is being slowly weened off this medication. In her previous home Tuluse suffered with recurrent cystitis as a result of stress (caused by other cats in the home). She has in the past been prescribed Loxicom to treat when it occurs, which is an anti-inflammatory medication that provides pain relief. She is not currently being medicated for this. A complication of cystitis and the pain it causes is presentation of inappropriate urination and spraying in the home. Since being in the care of Forever Friends, Tuluse has only shown this behaviour on one occasion (on arrival). However, as Tuluse has presented with this symptom, so careful management and understanding are required. Cystitis in cats can’t be cured, so recurrence in times of stress can be expected. Cystitis can be managed with changes to diet, medication, and by reducing or eliminating sources of stress. Can you provide this sweet young lady a loving and calm stress-free forever home? Tuluse is located in Heidleberg.
