Veronica Shannon

Veronica has served on executive and board roles across not-for-profit and corporate sectors. She is an experienced senior commercial lawyer, company secretary, sustainability leader, general business advisor, business owner and published author. Her passions include sustainable-living, exploring nature and, of course, animals. In addition to her company secretarial duties, Veronica intends to provide broad assistance to FFAR to help develop and grow FFAR’s impact on animals in need as well as the broader community. Veronica continues to be an enthusiastic FFAR volunteer in addition to her board duties. Veronica is passionate about animal welfare and has been volunteering with FFAR in various capacities since 2016. Veronica joined the FFAR Board as Secretary in 2023 and after a short leave of absence in late 2024/early 2025 returned to FFAR in a Board Advisory role and is currently interim Board Chair. Veronica has extensive legal experience and has worked in NFPs as General Counsel and Company Secretary. Veronica has also started and run various for-profit businesses including social enterprises in the sustainability space. Veronica has a strong desire to contribute to the care and safety of our planet and its inhabitants.
