Every day, animals arrive at Forever Friends Animal Rescue needing a second chance.
Some have been overlooked. Some have complex medical or behavioural needs. Some require months of rehabilitation. Some are simply not the animals that others are lining up to adopt.
This End of Financial Year, we’re asking for your support to help us keep saying yes.
Your donation will help provide food, veterinary treatment, rehabilitation, shelter, foster care, enrichment and everything else required to give vulnerable animals the future they deserve.
Too often, these are the animals that hear ‘no’.
At Forever Friends, we say ‘yes’.
As one of Australia’s few all-species rescue organisations, we believe every life has value. We say yes to dogs, cats, pigs, horses, poultry and many other animals, regardless of their age, breed, medical needs or circumstances.
We say yes because we never give up on an animal simply because their journey is difficult, expensive, or takes longer than expected. Our no-kill philosophy, high standards of care, thorough adoption processes and dedicated volunteer team allow us to achieve extraordinary outcomes for animals that might otherwise be left behind.
But continuing to say yes depends on supporters like you.
Every rescue, every vet visit, every rehabilitation plan, every safe night in foster care and every successful adoption is made possible through donations from people who believe that every life matters.

Alpine’s Story
When we first heard about Alpine, a young Maremma, he was facing euthanasia.
After having spent time on the run, Alpine found himself in a NSW shelter, his future bleak. Despite being a friendly dog, his size, breed and behavioural needs made him a difficult placement.
Forever Friends stepped in and gave Alpine the chance he deserved.
Over the following months at our Sanctuary, Alpine received the time, patience and support he needed to build confidence and thrive. The gentle, loving dog beneath the uncertainty began to shine through.
Today, Alpine is living a wonderful life with a family who adore him.
Because every animal deserves a second chance.
Pedro’s Story
For six long years, Pedro survived on the streets.
Life had taken its toll. He was missing teeth, had a wonky jaw, a floppy ear, and was living with FIV.
When Pedro arrived at Forever Friends, he was frightened, defensive and unsure of people. But our volunteers saw beyond his tough exterior and gave him the time, patience and support he needed to learn that he was finally safe.
It wasn’t a quick journey. It took patience, experience and plenty of squeezy treats before Pedro began to relax. Then one day, he purred.
Slowly, Pedro blossomed, revealing the gentle and affectionate nature that had been hidden for so long.
Today, Pedro is living the life he always deserved – safe, loved and cherished in his forever home.
After six years of surviving, Pedro is finally home.
Jersey’s Story
A small group of Boer goats arrived at our Sanctuary after escaping a horrific fate – the abattoir. They were exhausted, shaken, but alive.
What we didn’t know was that one of them, Gloria, was pregnant.
Shortly after arriving, our volunteers discovered a tiny baby girl curled up beside her mother in the stable. Gloria had given birth to Jersey Girl – a life that came heartbreakingly close to never existing at all.
Both mother and baby were given the safety, care and time they needed to recover.
Today, cheeky Jersey has found a forever home alongside her beloved and brave mumma. Together, they are a living reminder of how powerful a second chance can be.
