Kim has a beautiful temperament, she loves to be near her family. She knows basic commands and is a great listener. She likes to play short games of tug of war / fetch with her soft toys, but her most favourite thing to do is relax on her bed, or snuggle on the couch with you! She would love to share your bed, but is more than happy in her own bed too.
After a proper introduction, Kim likes most other dogs but she would need to be the only dog in the home as she has no desire to share her humans! She could be rehomed with a cat but would require supervision and additional training as her prey drive can kick in at times and she forgets to leave them alone.
She doesn’t like being left alone and can be a little vocal when you leave but she does settle down and is not destructive. We’d prefer a home without full-time workers though as she would be very sad to be by herself or 8+ hours every day.
She’s an excellent guard dog, no chance of a burglary with her in the house!
Kim has 3 legs but this does not stop her from doing anything…at all! She loves going for walks/hops and gets around without a care in the world. In her previous life, she was hit by a car and her owner did not seek medical treatment, resulting in several years of pain and damage to her leg. After specialist opinions it was decided amputation was the best course of action to give Kimmy the best quality of life.
She would be best suited to a family with older children, 10+
Kimmy is toilet trained.
