Maddy is a 27 year old grey speckled Arab cross mare. Maddy was a brood mare and is now in her twilight years. Maddy is 14.2 hands high and a real gentle soul. She was broken to ride and would be suitable as a walking lead horse for children. She isn’t suitable to trot or canter now that she is in her senior years. She is great to handle on the ground and stands patiently for her feet trims and vet. She is quiet to saddle and bridle and easy to catch. Maddy had some teeth extracted late 2021 and now requires daily hard feed to provide her nutrition. She cannot consume large amounts of pasture food due to the cutting ability of her remaining teeth.
As a senior horse, Maddy will require rugging during the cooler months to keep her fit and well. She’ll also require appropriate shelter. Her worming, feet trims and vet/dental checks are all up to date.
